JUST IN: CMCO will be replaced with RMCO, said PM

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in his live conference video at 3 pm, today, 7th June 2020 had announced the much-awaited news of whether or not Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) will be lifted.

He in his speech had mentioned that the number of cases among Malaysians has declined tremendously and Malaysia has successfully contained the COVID-19 virus.

Therefore, CMCO will be lifted and replaced with the Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) effective 10th June 2020 till 31st August 2020.

In the new RCMO phase, the people will be given much more flexibility within this period with much more economy sectors re-opening and. The people will be allowed to resume back to their normal life provided that they follow the SOPs set by the Ministry of Health (MOH).

He also added that some of the listed recreational venues under the Malaysian National Security Council (MKN) will be re-opened. The people will soon be allowed to visit these venues once the visitation SOPs have been implemented.

However, Prime Minister in his speech has also mentioned that the government will not hesitate to reimplement Movement Control Order (MCO) on the affected areas if the number of new cases spikes.

He had also added that Malaysia will be going to the normalization phase after 31st August 2020 till the vaccine for the Coronavirus is discovered.

I guess the Prime Minister’s announcement has delighted all of us an this could be the best news for Malaysians after a long while!
